No Saint Tropez -- more food!

The sky is blue, the weather is warm and there's a light summer breeze blowing through the mountains. It's a perfect, perfect day to go to Saint Tropez, which I still haven't visited -- and that was our plan. But work, that demanding little brat, has forced us to change our plans.

So, I will now be at home writing for the day, wishing I could read the screen on my laptop while on the terrace and trying to ask other bloggers to be friends with me. What is exciting, though, is that while scanning the internet for the cool kids, I've come across some delicious food blogs -- with delicious pictures of food and delicious recipes.

So while I'm here at home and not on the beach in Saint Tropez, I'm going to make my shopping list for the market tomorrow. My first thought is to make something like this. (I say "something like" because I'm still unable to force myself to read a recipe from top to bottom.)

I've also cracked open this Agatha Christie book in the hopes that it will teach me a little more about Nice. I need to start doing more research -- not just for the book that I'm working on, but for life. Any book suggestions are welcome.

  1. Hope your writing went well today. What kinds of books? I recently finished Hugh MacLennan's Two Solitudes...how's that for a book suggestion?! How about Anna Gavalda's books? I watched Ensemble, C'est Tout last night...

  2. Kerry, bonjour...

If you're going to visit St. Tropez, go before the end of June... July & August are like hell. :)
