I'm trying to give the professor a name for the book, just so that there's one if needed. So today, I've been combing through baby naming sites and sites about the history of France, looking for a name that is strong and professorly, and not already made famous by someone freaky, too well known, or related to soccer. He needs a last name and a first name. And so far, I'm starting with "Laurent."
Any takers? Objectors? Suggestions?

I'd thought about Julien, but it makes me think of Julian from the Trailer Park Boys. Not sure if you watch that show. That Julian is a great character, but isn't exactly Professor-like... http://www.trailerparkboys.com/
