Eating pigeon and getting down to work

Yesterday's meal was far more delicious than I'd expected. When I pulled one of the pigeons out of the small sea of onions and peas in the pot, I though, "Be brave, just get through it." I cut into the breast of the bird, peeled back the skin, and took a tiny little bird sized bite. Delicious. It was sort of like duck, I guess.

Last night, we openend a bottle of wine and talked about high school and friendships. Then we talked about us -- where we were going, what we were doing, how we were planning to enjoy our lives. I went through it all again in my head this morning after the Professor had left for work.

I think this is where the trust part really comes in. I had to trust that he wssn't a psycho killer in order for me to come here, but there are ways of finding that out. Wondering about living happily ever after together is far less concrete. You have to trust or guess or just let it happen. That's probably why the movies and books always end there.

ADDITION: I just realized that I put work in the title and then didn't write anything about it. That's because I'm actually going to DO that work right now.
