New tastes and experiences... I'm tackling everything head-on now

Two other bits of news for today...

And, we have a new neighbour!

So far, I've said "Bon soir" to many of our neighbours, but today I had an actual conversation.

A woman came out of an apartment nearby. She said hello and then while talking very quickly in French, told me that they were doing huge renovations and she was sorry about the noise. The noise, however, was still going on while she was talking. I nodded and said, "Je comprends...," but wasn't sure if I was talking about the language or the level of sound. Either way, I'm now calling this some sort of neighbourship/friendship. I don't know her name, but I know where she lives, which is good enough for now.

More on the pigeons later. They go with peas, I've been told.
