Tackling the visa again
I can't believe how much boring paperwork has to be done for these leaps into the unknown. No one who runs after a plane in the movies ever has to do this. Today, I'm tackling more of the requirements posted on the consulate's website. I can't believe how long it's taking to get all of these letters -- and how much money! I hope I make it in time for my ticket. It's now booked for the end of January!

So thrilled you're going back - have been following your story in The Star and then on your blog. How wonderfully romantic it all sounds and how brave you were to take such a huge leap. Please keep the story going or my days won't be the same.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and safe journey.

Thanks! I think this leap back might end up being harder than the first one (a year being more serious than a few months), but I'm working up to it.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI've been following your columns in The Star - what kind of visa are you going to apply for? It might help others in the same situation if you'd be willing to share more details. Immigrating to a foreign country is never easy...
Good luck!
Hi Marie-Claude,
ReplyDeleteI posted some more info about the visas above. Although, I'm still in the process of learning about how all this works!
