Only one taxing thing at a time

So, I'm meeting his family tonight.

A bit nervous. Hoping they like me, assuming I'll like them.

So that I can meet them with an honest and truthfully happy face, I am proud to announce that I have filed my Canadian taxes. I know this is something they would never think to ask about (not even a Canadian would ask in December), but now I'll be able to assume the role of a loving and responsible girlfriend without any guilt. That's what parents like, right?

One of my cousins says most parents just want to know that their children are happy.
