Since so many news organizations are currently filling their pages with stories of romance and happy endings in anticipation of Valentine's Day, I thought I'd re-post a link to a creepier tale of romance -- to balance out some of the mushiness.
I like happy endings, of course, but there are so many ways that a romance can turn out. (I'm learning that right now in my little leap across the ocean for the French Professor -- details, as I've mentioned, are still to come.)
Many of the women and men who have sent me their stories -- often in encouragement -- seem to have experienced romance in their own unique ways: some have found love, lost it, re-found it or regretted rejecting it ... the variety has been quite amazing.
So, in the interest of celebrating alternative romance stories, here's a tale of romance ... and MURDER! (Yes, murder and a forensic investigation is a bit extreme, but this year's mushiness has been a little overwhelming. This book was also written by my dad and the story is related to my family ... so, what can I say?)
