Neighbourhoods: Saint-Laurent-du Var

Here's our tour of Saint-Laurent-du-Var, one of the neighbourhoods near Nice, France, that we're considering for our move. Here's a little more background info. And there's a slideshow in the column on the right.

  1. Oh wow, are you ready for the move? How far away is it from Nice (ie: how long is the train ride?)?

I like the last picture of the trees.

  2. It's next door to Nice, basically. But we're not yet ready to go... there are still a few more neighbourhoods to research. See any interesting ones when you were here?

  3. I just found your blog via expat-blog and your story blew me away! I thought I was adventurous for moving to France when it had been only ten months of knowing my boyfriend, but nine days!! WOW! What a beautiful leap of faith!

Best of luck finding a new home and village :-)

  5. Kerry:

Hope you're enjoying your neighbourhood hunting! How about Eze??? Haha...Magnificent hilltop but that would be hard to ride your baby!

What about Marseille? I know it's a bit far from Nice...I guess I'm asking because I wonder if it's an interesting place to visit? Never been!

  6. Eze is interesting... but so far away!
Marseille is also too far. I'm thinking about Antibes, really, but I have to convince the Prof. that Antibes is the best idea. Also nearby: Monaco, Cannes, Grasse (perfume capital, but also a little far).
