A little piece of Canada

A friend of a friend who has been living in Paris came to visit yesterday. We're both from Ontario. She came to visit the south of France, but what we ended up having was the most amazing little day in Canada (if you use your imagination)!

It was so nice to talk to someone who has also been experiencing France for the first time. We walked around Antibes checking that the little investigations we've both been conducting into French culture are turning up similar results. So far, they seemed to be. So hard to know what's normal! And by that, I mean... the difference between what's weird about me and what's just weird about my country -- or France, or whatever country is being examined.

What a comfort it is to have a little Canadian break! Now back to France...
