So, to try and get a deal for this book I'm writing about my adventures in France, I'm supposed to present some market research saying what it is about these types of stories that appeal to readers. I find I've learned the most by reading some of the BAD reviews of similar books because that's where people take the most time to outline what really IS important to them and say what they were hoping to find when they first pulled back the cover of the book.
This is a true story so I'm not looking to really change it to fit it into a "market." But I do find it interesting what some people look for in a book. Any thoughts? Any books I should consider similar that I might not know?
