Lovely Awkward: A Year of Wine, Romance and Life Among the French

The day that could decide my future

Just realizing... yesterday there was a story that a broken water main had caused a blackout in certain areas of Toronto. On the list was Yonge Street, the cross street for the consulate. They'd better have come in to work today...

My appointment with the French consulate is this afternoon!

I have all of my papers (three copies!) paperclipped together in order. I have my passport, my nice please-let-me-live-in-your-country smile, and I've chosen an outfit that I hope makes me look responsible and able to work in an office (in keeping with the work visa application).

The Professor is back in France, working today and waiting to hear how my interview goes. This one meeting could affect the rest of our lives.

Any last words of advice?
