Lovely Awkward: A Year of Wine, Romance and Life Among the French

About me

I'm a 34-year-old journalist who has written for the Toronto Star, Ottawa Citizen, Globe and Mail and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

Recently, I dropped everything and headed to Nice to take a chance on romance with a French professor I met on a hike near Ottawa at the end of the summer. The story of this lovely (but at times awkward) romance started in my French Kiss column in the Toronto Star, but continues here on this blog and soon in a book I'm writing.

You can email me at writekerrymacgregor (at) gmail (dot) com, check out this page or find me on Twitter if you want to see how the story turns out.

Needless to say, there's a huge difference between the suburbs of Ottawa and life on the Mediterranean.

Since this isn't the author page, but the person page (I'm still not sure why I have both)... I guess I can add three facts that aren't on my resume: I play guitar and sing (only, the guitar was left in Ottawa), have studied a handful of styles of dance including several years of ballet, which I also taught, and my favourite place (regardless of all of this recent Mediterranean influence) is still Muskoka.
